What happened with the Falcons and their half time lead? The score was 28-3 and everyone thought that the game was over, but the Patriots had a game plan up their sleeve.

The Super Bowl took place in N.R.G Stadium in Houston Texas on February 5. Since the game was in the southern part of the United States, the Patriots were favored going into that Sunday evening.

When the Patriots were down after the second half, Patriot’s coach, Mr. Bill Belichick, was not phased by the huge gap. Coach Belichick gave his team “the talk” after halftime. It was because of this that caused the Patriots to came back out with the determination to win the Super Bowl.

After the third quarter, the Patriots were still down 28-9. Once that fourth quarter started, they did not look back. The Patriots did not let the Falcons score one point. The game had to go into overtime because the Patriots scored 19-0 to tie the big game.

During overtime the Patriots were able to score another touchdown to win and clinch the Super Bowl win. The final score was 34 Patriots, 28 Flacons. This nail-biting game has been considered by many the Super Bowl of the decade.
