November 7th marks the opening day for a play that both Mr. Kevin Burgun, drama club sponsor, and Mrs. Fredi Conley, agree will be a great experience for all actors and actresses involved, “The Importance of being Earnest.”
Tickets for the play will be $5 for students and seniors, $8 for adults. The play will be performed in the theater room.
“The theatre room provides a more intimate experience, [which is something that the auditorium doesn’t provide]” said Burgun. This play will also be Mrs. Conley’s last play; so for her, the more intimate the experience, the better.
The casting consists of 9 people. Students who wish to take part in the play but not as actors will be given alternatives; such as, make up, stage crew, and lighting etc. Burgun encourages students who would like to participate, but don’t want to act, to join the crew. Auditions for actors were held September 9th-10th.
