Out of all of the new TV shows coming out on the CW this fall, one of the most anticipated is The Flash. The Flash is based off of the DC Comics character whose superpower is super speed. Grant Gustin (Glee) stars as Barry Allen, who is a crime scene investigator in Central City, scarred by the death of his mother at a young age and his father being accused of killing her. The origin story for Barry Allen becoming the Flash is him gaining his superpowers through a freak accident that causes lightning to strike him. The Barry Allen character was first seen on the hit show Arrow, another CW show, which helped spawn the Flash tv show as a spin-off. The pilot is a fun and great way to set up Grant Gustin’s Allen and a great cast of supporting characters, developed villains and an overall story arch with Barry Allen balancing both being the Flash and still having his job as a CSI. The Flash stars Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Candice Patton (Iris West), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Jesse L. Martin (Detective Joe West) and Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells). The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8/7c on the CW.
