This year’s theatre cast will be performing Seussical the Musical, on March 13, 14, 15 and March 20, 21, 22. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm.
The cast has been compiled of a mix of old to new faces, described to be a unique group of talented performers by musical director Kevin Burgun.
Burgun said how excited he is to see how the new participants mesh with some of the old faces.
“I hope that the program becomes a program where all students feel that they can have an opportunity to get on stage,” Burgun said. He continued with saying that each member of his cast is important in their own way and that there are no true “stars” of the performance. “To me, stars are the students who are pushing themselves and putting the work in to make the musical a success.”
When asked about what he wants the crowd to feel after watching this musical, Burgun had a one-word response, “Joy.”
Tickets for the musical will be sold for $5 to students and senior citizens and $8 for adults. The cast plans on holding a 10-15 minute trailer performance during an SRT; however, no official plan has been made.
