Maggie Daley park is a skating rink located on 337 E. Randolph St.Chicago, Illinois 60601 closed Sunday Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-8:00 PM, Saturday: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. The park hours are 6:00 AM-11:00 PM. During the summer the rink is closed, but the park and other features are open.
One of the most notable features of the new park is the skating rink, or “the ribbon”, as Chicagoans are so apt to nickname their landscape features. There is no center full of useless ice. Instead, it’s a long track of ice that winds through park landscaping, making the experience much more scenic than a traditional rink. Also located is the play garden for children, an enchanted forest with a mirrored maze and kaleidoscope, the Lagoon, the Sea and the Harbor play apparatus for toddlers, a Wave Lawn for recreation for all ages, a Slide Crater with spiral slide and wide and rail slide features. These features won’t be open until later in the year. The park is fun, even for those beginners that have never been on the ice before. The rink is for all ages, and can be enjoyed by the whole family.
