This summer, Chicago and the outlining areas will be hosting a number of concerts this summer ranging from the hard and heavy to the trendy and new of today. There are over 50 scheduled performances listed from many different theaters and stadiums. The three of the biggest concerts of this summer will most likely be the B96 Summer Bash, AC/DC at Wrigley Field, and the Vans Warped Tour. There will be many other big contenders such as the Slipknot tour that includes Lamb of God, ZZ Top, One Direction, The Jersey Boys, and Toby Keith with the Eli Young Band.
The B96 Summer Bash will include many performers typically heard on the B96 radio station such as Usher, Nick Jonas, and Flo Rida. The genres of the performers are pop, R&B, and rap. The concert will be held at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois, and the date for the event is Saturday, June 20. Tickets are still available.
AC/DC is coming to Chicago and will be playing Tuesday, September 15 at Wrigley Field. This is expected to be one of the biggest concerts of the year and one of the biggest in the entire country. Tickets are already sold out and have been since the tickets were able to be sold. Wrigley Field will also be hosting the Zac Brown Band on September 11, tickets are still available for that.
The Vans Warped Tour is coming to Chicago on July 25 and will be playing at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois. Some of the main headliners will include Asking Alexandria, Beartooth, and Black Veil Brides. The genres of the artists range from rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, and punk rock.
There are many performers and bands coming to Chicago and the Chicagoland area that there is bound to be something for everyone. I know that I am going to the Slipknot concert at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater on August 15. This concert will be featuring Lamb of God, Bullet for My Valentine, and Motionless in White.
