Bishop Noll will be hosting its second annual blood drive on Monday, January 23, from 8:30 to 1:30 in the Bishop Noll Whelan Athletic Center.
Students and faculty/staff alike are welcomed to come out and donate blood. You must be 16 years or older to donate. Bishop Noll’s National Honor Society, which hosts this event, hopes to reach the goal of 64-65 pints of blood. This is only a one day drive so don’t wait!
“We expect this blood drive to go more smoothly than the first one.” Ms. Rosalie Schimdt, science teacher and National Honor Society sponsor is quoted as saying. “We had an overwhelming response to the first one which is excellent. However, the staff from Heartland was not expecting the numbers to be as high and were not prepared for the number of donors that we brought in”.
Schmidt urges students and others to please come out and support Noll by donating blood. There is also a special reward of a $10 gift certificate for Noodles & Company.
