Looking for a way to spread Christmas joy to friends and family? You might want to purchase a set of Christmas cards designed by Bishop Noll students.

For the past four years, the Bishop Noll advancement department has teamed up with art students to sell Christmas cards as a way to help raise money for the Annual Fund, the largest fundraising effort at Bishop Noll.

Years ago the advancement department would ask the art students to design Thanksgiving cards to send a special thanks to Bishop Noll donors. Now they have expanded the idea to selling Christmas cards instead.

Each year the art students design a unique cover for the cards. The best designs are then chosen by the main office staff. The chosen artists are then given a set of 12 cards with their own original design to give to friends and family.

The designs of the cards range from religious themes, like the Holy Nativity, to festive themes, like holly and greenery.

Sophomore Precious Knight, who designed the ornament with the Holy Family card, says she likes to explore using different mediums. Although she is very comfortable with drawing on paper, she also can draw digitally.

“I wanted to mix modern Christmas and traditional Christmas,” Knight said. “I wanted (the design) to show that while we still celebrate Christmas, we also have religious values.”

Ms. Jennifer Florek, Bishop Noll communications specialist, says that since the students did so well with the Thanksgiving cards, they wanted to also incorporate the students with the Christmas cards. The alumni loved it.

“We have a lot of folks who ordered last year and couldn’t wait to see the designs this year,” Florek said.

These cards can be purchased online at, Bishop Noll’s online store for their Centennial celebration . Along with the Christmas cards, the website features clothing, face masks, and a calendar being designed by Miss Hannah Dominiak, the digital art teacher.

“We eventually plan to use this site for tickets, reservations and auction bidding when we hold our Forever Noll Centennial Gala on Sept. 16, 2021,” Florek said.
