The National Honor Society, which sponsors Bishop Noll’s blood drive, is planning their first drive of the year for Nov. 4. All high school students are able to participate in this event, as long as they are 15.
According to Mr. Barrett Laspesa, National Honor Society sponsor, this social event happens to be a very big turnout every year. The blood donations go to the Heartland Blood Center in Tinley Park. From there, the blood is used by local hospitals in the area.
NHS suggests that you have a good meal before giving away blood. There is no cost to participate.
According to Laspesa, one of the goals is to open the drive up to more communities in the area.
