The Night of Latin Culture is an annual cultural program that brings together Latin Art, music, history and folklore all under one roof for a single night, free of charge. This year, the NLC will mark its seventh year anniversary being held at Bishop Noll, on October 4th, 2014.
The purpose of NLC is to educate the audience about the diversity of the Latino/Hispanic cultural by inviting folklore groups to represent their countries. This event is free of charge to the public, and is made possible through grants and local sponsors.
The girls’ soccer team serves a tamale dinner and all proceeds go directly to benefit their team. “It’s our way of giving back to the school”, according to girls soccer team mom Debra Bolanos.
The NLC evening will begin with an art gallery from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. that showcases local Latino artists, artisans, live Mexican folklore music, fresh Mexican candy, and Latino book authors. The main show in the auditorium from 7 p.m.-9:30pm.
