Guidance office field trips help seniors and juniors

When asked  how the college fair field trips would benefit current juniors and seniors; Jessica Ramos said, “ Students are exposed to various colleges and can learn a great deal directly from the representatives”. She was asked about what future college related trips were planned and when they occur. We found out that a college fair for juniors takes place mid-march at Moraine Valley. When asked about what advice can you give to students to prepare before they go to a college fair; she said “ I would suggest they do a little research on what colleges will be at the fair so they can map out who they would like to speak to. “. Lastly when asked about when after visiting a college fair, what is the next step students should take in the college process; she said to make sure to take a business card of theirs and to take a look on their webpage and schedule a visit to the campus so that you can get a real feel for the school. She even added that some colleges have overnight visits where students can spend the night in a dorm to get the full experience.  This information should prove to be most helpful.
