This semester, Bishop Noll welcomes two new faces in the building. Mr. Eloy Melero will be the new sophomore theology teacher, replacing Mr. Jose Rosario. Mr. David Boban will be replacing Mr. David Herr as the new choir director.

Melero is a former Noll student, class of 2014. After graduating from Purdue Northwest with an education degree this past year,, Melero says this is his first year teaching and so far, he likes to be able to have a conversation with the high school students and being able to connect with them. He says he is happy to be back at Noll and ready to help students in their academic career.

“My goal for this year is to help students think of theology/ religion as a relationship with God, similar to our relationships with family/ friends, instead of a chore or something our parents make us do,” he said.

Mr. David Boban has also joined the Bishop Noll staff as the new choir teacher, yet he only works part time at Noll and spends the rest of his time at St. John the Baptist in Whiting, where he is a music director. Boban has previously taught group private lessons through his own company, Original Music Lessons, and has also worked with musicians from Juilliard School of Music in New York. When he decided to get married, he moved back home to Whiting, Indiana. According to his website for Original Music Lessons, Boban loves teaching students, of any age, how to sing or play an instrument.
