Bishop Noll’s annual prom will be taking place in just two short weeks. For the past several months, the prom committee has been busy hosting sales to cut the cost of prom and planning out the big dance.

Prom and yearbook coordinator, Mrs. Jennifer Florek, started the initial planning with picking out a theme with the help of the prom committee.

“The prom committee offered suggestions and then we created a poll to send out to the juniors and seniors to vote on. The highest-picked theme from the poll was ‘Masquerade’, so that’s what we ultimately chose to do”, says Florek. The dance will be taking place on Saturday, May 20 at the Halls of St. George.

This year’s prom will look a little different from last year’s as there will be mingling food stations instead of simple finger food.

“There will be a burger station, street taco station, ice cream sundae bar, a French fry bar and garden salad. The street taco bar will include tacos with a variety of toppings and Spanish rice, The French fry bar will include hot seasoned French fries with a variety of toppings to choose from such as chipotle aioli, crumbled bacon and hot sauce,” says Florek.

The new changes to this year’s prom has left many juniors and seniors excited for the arrival of the dance.

Junior Isabella L. Garcia, says that she’s really looking forward to going to prom.

“I’m excited for prom, I think the theme is going to turn out super cool. I’m most looking forward to the plans I made after prom.”
