For the Lady Warriors, the 2013-2014 volleyball season would not end as planned. Despite a remarkable season, and a comeback kid performance to win at Semi-State, the Lady Warriors would come up short and lose in the state finals to the Providence Pioneers, a team that had won their previous 17 matches before their meeting with the Bishop Noll Warriors down at Ball State in Muncie, IN. Not only would the season end in a very dramatic way, but the Lady Warriors will have very big shoes to fill for the 2014-2015 volleyball season, being two very big senior starters Asya Hoobs and Carissa Jones, and a very big bench player, Senior Elena Sobilo. Even with all the losses, the future continues to look very bright for the Bishop Noll lady Warriors in the volleyball program with alot of returning stardom, and a very good incoming Freshman class, led by nationally ranked beach volleyball player Bella Kuechenberg.
The girls volleyball team is living the 2014-2015 season by one motto, ‘‘only blue will do.’’ The Lady Warriors have their eyes on the prize and have the goal of making it all the way back to Muncie, IN to claim what is truly theirs that was taken away from them horribly last season by the Providence Pioneers, a state championship. The Lady Warriors have all the tools they need to make it back to Ball State with returning senior starters Carly Cappello and Emily Johnson. Also being backed up on the court by sophomore and junior starters Brittany Anderson and Delaney Soto. With the addition of stud freshman Bella Kuechenberg in the starting lineup, and the returning, very strong bench, it should be a very good season for the small school located on the corner of Chicago Ave at 1519 Hoffman Street.
