This summer in free agency the Chicago Bulls signed free agent E’twaun Moore from East Chicago. He was signed September 14th with a 2 year contract. Last year, Moore played for the Orlando Magic where he averaged 6.3ppg, 1.7rpg, and 1.4apg in 19.1mpg. He shot 42.8% from the field and 35% from behind the arc while maintaining a respectable 76% from the free throw line. Moore was added to the Bulls to maintain depth and be here just in case the Bulls end up in an other Roseless situation.
Although Moore is here mainly as an insurance policy in case Rose, Hinrich, and/or Brooks go down with injury, he is a solid fit for Chicago with his defense and 3-point capability. Head Coach Tom Thibodeau is known for working his magic with point guards and could evolve Moore’s game to the next level. He did so with C.J. Watson, John Lucas the third, Nate Robinson, and D.J. Augustine so he is more than capable of doing the same with Moore. He may not get much playing time, but it’s always good knowing you have a reliable back-up on your squad.
E’twaun Moore isn’t just reliable on the court, but off the court too. He is a positive person in the locker room and causes no trouble at all. Moore is also very charitable when off the court. He gives back to his community, that is East Chicago and helps little kids with their education. He also donates tickets to various places like baseball games or the Blue Man group to the less fortunate clubs. E’twaun Moore is a role model both on and off the court.
