Varsity basketball, multicultural club, math club, prom committee, and Homecoming Queen are a only few of the activities that co-salutatorian Milana Golich has participated in over the last four years at Noll. With a 4.32 GPA, she is the definition of a scholar.
“It is a great accomplishment and I’m honored to have such an award,” said Golich.
As a graduate of John L. Marsh, a Chicago Public School, Golich has always been motivated to succeed and do everything to the best of her ability to meet her expectations. She likes to spend her free time with friends and family, but learned early on that in order to succeed she would have to learn to manage her time, especially during basketball season, and put school first.
“I always made time for school work and managed my time wisely to what benefits me the most,” she said.
Her family has always been very supportive and were excited when it was announced that she was in the homecoming court. Her brother Justin even made shirts that said “#TeamMilana”.
She credits Ms. Prkic as her most influential teacher, saying that she has taught her things both outside of school as well as inside the halls of Bishop Noll. Her success has earned her a spot at Purdue University West Lafayette where she plans to be a Pre-Med major. In ten years, she wishes to be done with school and to have a career in the medical field.
During her four years at BNI she lived by the advice that working hard all four years of high school was important and that it would be worth it in the end.
