On Nov. 18, twelve senior students attended an etiquette dinner at the Innsbruck Country Club hosted by Bishop Noll Alum Robert Hanrahan from the class of 1972. The complimentary dinner taught students how to attend events that were either semi-formal or formal.
Students were asked to dress semi-formally, which meant dresses for women and jacket and tie for men. At the dinner students were taught how to answer an invitation, table manners, and dinner conversation tips.
“It was a really good experience because a lot us didn’t know a lot about etiquette and the proper way of presenting in the business world. It was nice to have the experience before going to college,” says senior Katie Zlajic.
Though the etiquette dinner was only for seniors, Ms. Skurka hopes this will conjure up more etiquette classes for a range of situations and an availability to more students.
