New head football coach Paul Douglass has started a good deeds program for his football players this season to become better students, people, and citizens. The players help out in school and they are rewarded with stickers on their football helmets. They will have the entire season to earn the stickers, but it isn’t just about earning stickers for a football helmet.
“We want football to do more than just teach them to block and tackle, really we want to take this as a chance to develop them both as students and citizens,” Douglass said.
With the good deeds program, Douglass wants to make the players better people on and off the field.
“We want them to be examples for the rest of the school,” he said. According to Coach Douglass, several seniors have stepped up in leadership with this program.
