Shadow days happen quite often at BNI. They are beneficial for both the schools and the children. It helps them decide where to go.
“The goal of a shadow day is to show the future freshman what BNI has to offer,” said Mrs. Nancy Repay, director of admissions. “They are nervous about high school. This is an opportunity for them to see what its like and calm their nerves.”
Many schools have attended already, including, St. Stanislaus, Our Lady of Grace, St. John the Baptist, St. John Bosco, St. Casimir, St. Mary- Griffith and St. Thomas More.
The largest group was St. John Bosco with 43 students, tied for second with 40 students is St. Stanislaus and St. John the Baptist. The shadow day for St. Thomas More was optional for them and only 8 students attended.
This year the enrollment is at about 525 students. The faculty and staff are hoping for, if not the same, more next year.
