The Bishop Noll spring charity event, Noll House, raised over $3800 to build a house in a developing country. The money went to Food for the Poor, an international relief organization that feeds millions of people in developing countries.
Although two major events for the charity were canceled–the student v. faculty volleyball game and the trivia night–the student council was still able to reach its goal.
“We chose not to reschedule the volleyball game because the athletic office told us that we were not guaranteed gym space for the next two weeks, the remaining period of our Noll House fundraiser,” said Noll House sponsor Mrs. Rebecca Shaman.
All students that donated the seven dollars in their CCP will be entered into the drawing for the television. The drawing for the TV will be done on March 27 The television was donated by a member of the board anonymously. Senior Melissa Paradiso won the TV.
The current number of Golden Warriors is five with a total amount of money raised at $3800. For the students that spun the Wheel and won a chance to pie Mr. Chico, the pie-ing will be held March 26, March 27, or April 6 depending on Mr. Chico’s schedule. Next year the fundraiser will hopefully include the volleyball tournament because many students were excited for the event.
