This year marks the third annual Christmas Adopt-A-Friend program with Catholic   Charities of Northwest Indiana. Teaming up with Catholic Charities, Bishop Noll has adopted 33 individuals, so each CCP class will have a person to buy presents for this Christmas.

All CCP classes are to collect money for their child and buy their child a gift.

“We’ve adopted 33 individuals this year; a combination of children ages three years old through teen years in like middles school. We also have adopted some disadvantaged adults who live alone and don’t have families who are helping to provide them with Christmas, too,” said Ms. Stacia Bolakowski, campus minister said.

Not only does Catholic Charities help families by donating gifts, but they provide food baskets as well. Besides participating in wrapping and giving gifts, students can participate by attending the Christmas party at Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary on Monday, Dec. 21 where gifts will be distributed to the individuals.
