Junior Ameer Lawrence Places 7th at Boys Bowling State Championship

Junior bowler Ameer Lawrence is the second Bishop Noll student in 11 years to earn a berth in the Indiana High School Bowling state tournament.

 

Lawrence came in first place at sectionals started on Jan. 13 with a score of 646. At regionals on Jan. 20, his series was 573 and he placed 6th, and at semi-state on Jan. 27th, his series was 607. His 9th place ranking allowed him to move on in the competition with 11 other advancers.

 

“Thankfully, I was able to compete in the  postseason,” Lawrence said. “I just want to say thank you for this opportunity and I really appreciate it.”

 

Lawrence competed at the statewide competition on Saturday, February 3 at Championship Lanes in Anderson, Indiana. Lawrence placed seventh in the State with a series of 624.
