Thanks to the snow day followed by a power outage on Feb.1-2, the Catholic Schools Week in-person events have been postponed until next week, beginning Feb. 15. Since students have a full and proper week without the disruption of ISTEP testing, events will take place every in-person day!
Monday is Celebrate Catholic Schools day; there will be a giant Jenga competition near the cafeteria, along with prizes and Catholic School Shirt Day. You can wear a BNI shirt, or one of a local Catholic elementary school or college.
Tuesday brings Teacher Appreciation Day; students can dress in the style of their favorite teacher. Teachers will be provided with a special breakfast and lunch.
Although Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, it will remain a virtual day for students, and students. There will be an optional mercy chaplet at 9 a.m., and campus ministry will join students to discussion with the I Heard God Laugh book club. Prizes will be given to the funniest virtual background, as well as to the winners of two virtual quizzes about Bishop Noll’s centennial and the teachers
Thursday, Charity Day, lets students dress down as a tourist for $2. Proceeds will go to Sojourner Truth House, a charity home that provides clothing and food to the needy. Extra donations will be welcome!
Finally, Friday is Student Appreciation Day. Students will have a free Comfy Day, along with a movie around 2nd period and a homework and test free weekend.
