Last Friday, Sept. 22, Bishop Noll’s Multicultural Club hosted its first tamale dinner. Over 100 tickets were purchased for the dinner. The dinner, which was $7 for two tamales, rice, beans, a beverage and dessert, was supplied by La Chiquita grocery store in East Chicago and by donations from Multicultural Club members.

When asked if this was something they would look to do again, Ms. Jessica Omelanczuk , Multicultural Club sponsor, “Yes absolutely, we would definitely look to expand it and make it bigger.

After this year’s success, Omelanczuk plans to continue the fundraiser every year.
