On Oct. 5, the Bishop Noll choir went to Saint Margaret’s Hospital in Dyer Indiana to celebrate the 23rd “Value of Life” prayer service.

Over 13 Catholic schools from the Diocese of Gary gathered to pray for all unborn souls.

“We were very excited to play and sing for all of the grade schools, because we knew this was a very special event for all of the schools in the Diocese,” said Mr. David Herr, choir teacher; “We were definitely nervous because outdoor choral choral are more difficult than indoor choral events. We have to contend with outdoor issues such as the sound of traffic and the wind which can sometimes wreak havoc on the music.”

The Bishop Noll choir provided music for the event including “Breathe On Us,”  “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever,” and many more.

“I think the crowd liked it. I know the older people attending enjoyed it a lot because they wouldn’t stop coming up to us to congratulate us on a good job.” said Mireya Melero, junior Choir member, “We were the first ensemble to sing for the event and even to sing for the placing of the crosses, so we got a super positive reaction.”
