Noll hopes to raise money with sales of A-Wing bricks

With the demolition of the A-Wing coming to a close, the Bishop Noll alumni and development offices are selling bricks of the 70-year old building for $30. Each brick comes with an engraved plaque.

According to president Paul Mullaney, the sales goal is 1,000 bricks. So far, they’ve sold close to 80 bricks but expect a surge in sales around Christmas time.

Mullaney said they’ve already shipped bricks to Las Vegas, Texas, and Florida.

Nostalgia is the main reason for this fundraiser, according to Mullaney.

“It’s a common practice that when popular or meaningful structure is torn down, those who value what took place within those walls want to retain a brick as a keepsake of the good memories. It was a natural effort for us to roll out,” Mullaney said.
