Do you want to go to New York? Do you love Shakespeare? Well look no further!

The second annual Shakespeare Monologue Contest is soon approaching. It will be held January 19 at 3:15 pm in the auditorium. The winner of Nationals gets an all expense paid trip to New York.

The following criteria should be met in order to be considered eligible: The monologue must come from one of Shakespeare’s 38 plays. The monologue must be no more than 20 lines, but you are warned, students who perform monologues longer than 20 lines will be disqualified.

All you have to do is: select, memorize, and perform one monologue from a shakespeare play. And please note that costumes are not allowed, you must speak naturally in your  own voice, and of course, memorize your lines.
