On Tuesday, Sept 15, Bishop Noll kicked off their Founder’s Day celebration with an outdoor movie night on the football field for students and staff.
The event was the first at Bishop Noll to allow students to gather, and many were excited to participate because they missed the camaraderie. “I went to the celebration because I still would like to attend Noll events,” Addison Mosely, junior, said.“I want to still participate and be around, so I do not miss anything.”
Despite the small crowd, the event still upheld CDC guidelines. Students sat socially distanced and with their masks in place.
For senior Ariana Ferreira, the entire night was a great way to begin the school year. “I enjoyed that we all received our own treat bags, got to hangout with our friends, and it gave us a break to enjoy ourselves and just have fun,” Ferreira said.
The event, which allowed students to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs, provided an opportunity for Bishop Noll students to socialize with one another outside a video conferencing room. “Going to school events and still being able to be social is key for me. Being able to talk to other people is an outlet so I don’t have to stress about anything else going on,” Mosley said.
