Bishop Noll’s Women’s Empowerment Club visited St. John Bosco, St. Stans, St. Casimir, St. John the Baptist, and St. Mary’s Griffith on November 16 to talk to the  students about what it means to be empowered.
   The students made beaded bracelets with encouraging words to these middle school girls. They talked about what it truly means to be a woman.

Senior member Aaliyah Crawford was super excited for the event.

“I planned three lessons with the other two leaders, Juniors Maria Quiroga and Rebecca Carlos,” Crawford said, “Our overall theme of the day was to be empowered. The three lessons fell into the category were Self Advocacy, Empowering Others, and The Future is Female, in between lessons, we started our activity for the day.”
“We provided a small snack for the kids since they were coming right after school,” Crawford said.
The group bracelets with some empowering words for the students. “We made bead bracelets with words of each of their choosing on them,” she said. “For the first meeting our main point was simple just so they could connect to the club. We chose “Be Empowered” to center everything around.”
